Dolphin's Cove

Dolpin's Cove
My parents and I swung by Dolphin's Cove last night for some lobster! My parents like to do that every summer, eating seafood by the water.. seems only fitting! I gotta admit, the only time I had been to this place was for their Sunday night parties (ha!) but the food last night was great: I had the Lobster Dolphin's Style and we shared their Portuguese Flan for dessert - all delicious :)

Dolphin's Cove, 421 Seaview Ave, Bridgeport, CT

As it is the last day of August, it's also the end of August Break! Honestly, I didn't have much to share these last 2 weeks, but it was great to participate only to discover new blogs/bloggers!

Quiche and Links

Shrimp Quiche Shrimp Quiche I made the other day; it was delicious! Here's the recipe (in French)!

And while I'm here, I'd like to share a few fun links I've discovered lately:

Pinstrosity: this site reminds me of my DIY adventures, especially the last one I'm struggling with, ugh.

Golden Retriever Puppy Cam: the most adorable puppies!

The Sun Hasn’t Set on the Drive-In: someone pleaaase get me to a drive-in!

This past week's weather has been flip-flopping a lot and the temperature definitely cooler! It's the end of summer already and I'm both excited and sad about that.

Bang Bang Bang

Baby Shower

Last weekend I headed down to DC to visit my brother and his significant other for their baby shower!
It was so nice to see them and the baby bump. The little one seems very active, lotsa moving and kicking around going on! I'm so excited to become an aunt!

On my way to DC Terracotta Warrior
Brunch at Busboys and Poets ...And back to CT
find me on instagram

On Sunday morning, we went at Busboys and Poets, one of my brother's favorite brunch spots! Not only their menu is great, but you can also browse their bookstore before/after your meal. In the third picture above, you can see their mural of American poet Langston Hughes, the inspiration behind the name of the chain restaurant.

By the way: I finally changed my blog's URL & layout! I've been trying to find time to revamp everything for a while and I'm glad it's (mostly) done. Let me know if something looks strange on your screen ;)

August Break

August Break

I decided to take on this fun blog activity... thing: The August Break, a project put together by the lovely Susannah Conway! Basically, participating bloggers take pictures every day during the month of August and post them on their blog/twitter/facebook/wherever. It's not a strict challenge in any way, it's all in good fun. Over 300 bloggers have signed up already, pretty impressive!

You can even check out everyone's pictures in the Flickr group!

I probably will not post my pics every day, but maybe once or twice a week!
Are you participating?
