The firecrackers are a-firing and the skies are a-smoking! Happy Year of the Dragon!
Last year I experienced CNY from a skyscraper, so I wanted this year to be different. Tonight's plan is to walk around the nieghborhood to see what the locals are up to and to fire up the firecrackers we bought ourselves. I haven't seen this year's New Year's decorations at Yuyuan Garden yet, but I'm definitely going to drop by this week!
Since the international team and I already had vacations for Christmas/NYE, we'll be alone in the office this week while our Chinese colleagues will be back home with their families. Anyways, I'm excited to experience Shanghai all empty again!
